Fitness is
All About Fun!!!
There’s nothing like a good
playground to promote fitness among school age children. That’s why the
Whiteside School PTC and other volunteers joined efforts this Saturday to
build its second unit onto their playground expansion project. PTC
President, Mari Ruegsegger and Principal Nathan Rakers joined several
volunteers from the Whiteside Primary School community to lend a helping
hand in the project. This phase of the project added a second, larger
unit to the schools’ overall goal to provide the students and the
Whiteside Community
with a full compliment
of safe and creative playground equipment.
. Mrs. Ruegsegger, indicated that the project could
not have been completed without the support of a great team of volunteers
who helped to raise the $28,000 required to complete the project. A
portion of the overall cost was also made possible from a $12,411 fitness
grant awarded to the Whiteside PTC from Game Time
Recreation.

Landscaping, Effinger’s Landscaping, Home Brite Ace Hardware, Keleher
Construction Company, Lowe’s, Ron Hursp Construction, Sandy’s Back Porch,
Sonnenberg Landscaping, the Whiteside School Board and the Whiteside
Education Foundation.
